Free tickets for children making an effort

At the beginning of the year, the Kids Initiative launched its latest initiative to help schools award and encourage their pupils. Books of School Award Tickets have been given to four local schools in a trial to see if they would incentivise better attendance, achievement or attitude from their pupils.

Each ticket allows free entry to a Poole Town FC home league game for the recipient child together with 2 adults and 3 further children under 16.

The response has been brilliant so through the summer term we are planning on contacting all the schools in Poole to see if they would like to take part in this free program next season.

Below are the comments from two teachers who have taken part in the initial trial.

"We gave out around 10 tickets to the game last week for those pupils who had 100% attendance for the last term - these were a massive hit! The pupils are sooooooo excited about watching the matches, and are also so pleased that both parents and siblings can also go with them!"

"Thank you so much for the vouchers, I cannot tell you how excited my Tutor class were this morning, they have worked so hard to improve attendance at the school and I told them that if they came in all week there would be a special reward. They have won the Year group attendance nine times now, so it was fitting to reward my class with a voucher each. I heard comments such as "wow we love football but can never afford to go", another said "I can't wait to surprise my Dad"
