KI to deliver Alternate Provision

In a major advancement of the KI’s operation, the CIC, in conjunction with the Gale Foundation Trust, has been accepted by BCP Council as a provider for Alternate Provision. AP is an arrangement made by local councils or schools for students who are struggling with the day to day demands of school life and require a little extra help. Since the end of last season we have welcomed the first students, over the past few months, who are being mentored by Andy White and we are extremely pleased with how this has begun. In addition to the start of our AP, we have also seen more requests for similar style mentoring from local schools for groups of students who maybe struggling for one reason or another. Andy now delivers the sessions to 10 different schools, most within the Poole area. Such is the demand that the KI is now looking to bring in another coach to help with the free school sessions, allowing Andy to expand the AP delivery. The income we receive for delivering the AP is then ploughed back into the free school initiative.
