The Results are in Cash For Kids Sports Challenge! Third prize of £1,500 for the Kids Initiative!
I’d like to give a huge thank you to all who assisted us in our first participation in Wave 105’s annual sports fundraising competition.
Tasked with raising funds through a four week window, spanning across September and October, 19 sports clubs across the south entered to win a match funded first prize of up to £5,000. Thanks to major sponsorship, once more, from local companies Field International and Jade Aden, we were confident that we had a good chance of winning.
Further corporate sponsorship from new sponsors, LMA Architects and Wessex Building Contractors added to the funds as did a number of personal donations.
We raised £154 from the sale of Kids Initiative merchandise and nearly £200 from the two bucket collections we held during our home matches against Hartley Wintney and Bracknell Town.
In total we raised £5,466 which placed us in 3rd place, winning a grant of £1,500 from Cash For Kids. Adding that to the funds raised will boost our funds by nearly £7,000.
